01 Feb 2019  |  To Do, Inspiration

Whether you like Valentine's Day or not, it's the perfect occasion to celebrate love or to go that extra mile for your loved one. Dining together, exploring or just fully relax in a nice hotel. With these Valentine’s Day tips your Valentine's Day will surely be a success.

A night away

No better occasion to book a night in a hotel than Valentine's Day.  Because what is nicer than relaxing in a comfortable hotel room together, ordering room service and exploring a city? During Valentine's Day (and weekend) some rooms in our hotels will be filled with highly romantic details (think: rose petals), to give that extra romantic touch to your stay. Because, hey, there's nothing wrong with a little bit cliché once in a while. Our hotels have put together Valentine's packages especially for the lovebirds. View all our Valentine's packages here.

From €87.50 Per person
Oysters, champagne and pearls

From the 11th till the 17th of February you can enjoy oysters and champagne at Café Americain. And the best thing is: during these days one oyster will contain a real pearl from Gassan Diamonds. So, what if you find the pearl? Well, you will win a complete Valentine's date; your oysters and champagne bill will be paid for; you'll win a stay in the hotel for two (including breakfast) and you will win a VIP package from Gassan Diamonds and a goodie bag. There is only one thing you have to do: order oysters and champagne with your date during these days and hope you find the pearl!

Swing on top of the A'DAM Tower

It might be a bit cold, but the view alone is definitely worth going for a swing on the A'DAM Tower. Whether you're planning on scheduling this in for your Valentine's date or not, a swing on the tower should definitely be on your to-do list. The 'Look out swing," also called 'The Over the Edge swing,' is one of the highest rated attractions in Amsterdam, and we can surely understand why. On the rooftop of the tower you can swing 100 meters high, treating you to a view on the Amsterdam skyline.

Try new restaurants

Never had Lebanese food? Or has your Valentine's date never tried Vietnamese dishes? Or have you been excited for a while to go to that hip restaurant that you have read so much about? Valentine's Day is the perfect moment to try out a new restaurant or new cuisine. A nice surprise for your Valentine and a bit for yourself.

Visit a new city

Never drank a beer or a glass of wine on the Vrijmarkt in Maastricht? Or never really seen the Martinitower in Groningen with your own eyes? Did you always want to visit the Binnen- and Buitenhof in The Hague, but you never really found the occasion? Nothing better than exploring a new city with your loved one.
